How to Download Library ebooks to iPad

iPad Instruction/Overdrive e-books

1.    What you have to have:
          a)  iPad
          b)  A library card and password/PIN

          c)  An Adobe ID

2.    Installation of OverDrive
          a)  Go to App store, search for “Overdrive” 

          b)  Find “OverDrive Media Console”; press free button

          c)  Press the “Install App” button to install the  

               OverDrive application. The OverDrive icon  will 

               automatically show on the screen.

3.     Authorize Adobe: Sign in or Register

4.    Press the OverDrive icon   on the screen
       Find the “Get book +” at the top right corner

5.    Press “Add a Library +” to browse for libraries

       Users can simply type his/her own library name. Once find the

       library press to add it to your list

6.    Press your library's catalog shown on the top left   

       corner will lead the user to the ibrary’s catalog. Click “browse” icon then
      “Browse all Adobe EPUB eBook Titles”

7.    Once the user finds the ebook s/he looks for, press “add to cart”

8.    Press “Proceed to Checkout”

9.    Log in  “Library card number” and “password/PIN”

10.   Allow to modify “lending period”: 21 day checkout, 14 day checkout or 7 day  

        checkout.

11. Press “confirm check out”

12. Download. On the download page, the user will find the borrowed item and has to press “Download” to download the item to the user’s iPad. Then it will go back to the Overdrive page and user is ready to read the downloaded ebook.
***On the OverDrive page the user will find “+”
The “+” allows the user to return/delete the ebook earlier***
